Installing the application

NotesExtractor can be installed on any Domino server (NotesExtractor.nsf + NotesExtractor.exe) of the company. Here are the Domino's server supported versions, by OS:

Users can install NotesExtractor on their desktop by using a Notes Client. The following tab show the supported access mode:

The Notes release 8 (or higher) is mandatory to use the new features linked to the conversion of Rich Text fields into HTML. Furthermore, the extraction of OLE Objects as attach files required an executable running on the Windows environment (32 or 64 bits).

If the installation is done on an server different from the one hosting the databases to be exported, you must check the server ID's access right to grant it access to the databases.

Here is a list of the different components that must be installed:

Installing NotesExtractor.nsf database

In order to install NotesExtractor.nsf on the server, go through these steps:

• Copy NotesExtractor.nsf database on the domino server. You can installed it wherever you want in the server's Data directories
• Sign database with the Notes ID or server ID.
• Modify the ACL to restrict access to authorized persons only.
• If you have an Activation key, create an Activation key document from NotesExtractor's Activation key view and enter your key.

Installing NotesExtractor.exe executable

In the Installation / Install Files view, identify the NotesExtractor document that suits your Operating Systems (Windows 32 / 64 bits), and extract the NotesExtractor.exe component included in the document. Paste it in the Program directory of the Domino server (same directory as nserver.exe). If the tool is installed locally, you can use the button from the Installation / Install Files view.

Installing SynchroNSF.exe executable

In the Installation / Install Files view, identify the SynchroNSF document that suits your Operating Systems (Windows 32 / 64 bits), and extract the SynchroNSF.exe component included in the document. Paste it in the Program directory of the Domino server (same directory as nserver.exe). If the tool is installed locally, you can use the  button from the Installation / Install Files view.

Installing SynchroLDAP.exe executable

In the Installation / Install Files view, identify the SynchroLDAP document that suits your Operating Systems (Windows 32 / 64 bits), and extract the SynchroLDAP.exe component included in the document. Paste it in the Program directory of the Domino server (same directory as nserver.exe). If the tool is installed locally, you can use the button from the Installation / Install Files view.
