It is now possible to define a retention duration on archive databases processed by ArchiveMail on DB. From a Profile document, the administrator defines a purge duration for archive databases according to the database age or to its existence before a specific year (for instance: before 2003). As soon as an archive database reaches its retention duration threshold, a workflow starts, involving the administrator to approve the physical deletion of the database.
Database quotas can now be set up individually at the mail database level. However, the quota management feature available from the Profile can still be activated for other databases.
It is now possible to individually deactivate a database archive. The activation/deactivation process is monitored by the application administrator. The graphical interface of database views has been improved in order to provide a summary view of databases to archive and of their status (detected, activated, deactivated, not supported).
An advanced trace feature allows saving a lot of information during the processing (detection, management, archive, purge) of databases managed with ArchiveMail on DB. Traces are sent to a text file than can be viewed with any text editor.
Replication prevention : set up at the Profile level allows users to locally replicate their archive databases or prevents them from doing so.
Database selection for processing allows selecting the mail databases that should be processed, according to 3 selection levels:
Databases located in a specific folder (IT-oriented selection)
Mail Databases attached to users identified within a specific group (business-oriented selection)
Mail Databases attached to user entries matching a specific selection formula (@Formula on the NAB’s person documents)
Document types selection for processing : Message Document, Calendar Entry Document, Task Document, Contacts Document (iNotes), Mailing list Document (iNotes). For each of the document types that should be archived, you may set up triggering thresholds for the archive process as well as a storage duration for mail database links.
Managing the User activity : allows saving or not saving user activities within archive databases. This feature is useful to check if an archive database is actually very little used before it is purged.
