- If you wish to move the MailFlow Engine, you need to move 2 modules :
- MailFlow Databases
- MailFlow Data Files
Prerequisites : before moving any DATA files (zip files) or Notes Databases, please first Stop the Mailflow engine (from the Mailflow\MailFlow.nsf db)
1/ Move the MailFlow Databases to the new server (keep the same folder tree if possible)
2/ Move all the data files (see the MAIN Setup document of the MailFlow db, tab Data Files to see the current path of the 'Data Files')
3/ Update the Main Setup document from the MailFlow db if the drive (c:\ or d:\, etc) or path (folder tree) has changed
Then, don't forget to detach the MailFlow.exe (Mailflow engine) into the Program folder of the new Server (be-careful, there are two versions: 32 or 64bits)
At last, update the Program document that trigger the start of the engine to update the servername field.
- If you wish to move or install a new MailFlow Collector, you need to :
1/ Replicate the MailFlowCollect.nsf on the new server and create a new document to declare new server
2/ Copy the MailFlow Task and MailFlow Lib in the Program folder (same folder as the nserver.exe)
3/ Create a new folder called usually MailFlow, that matches the folder path declared in the server document of the MailFlowCollect.nsf ("Data Files Folder Path" field)
4/ Modify the notes.ini according to the documentation. Please, read the documentation from the mailflow.nsf db, there is a document that describes the steps : "Installing the data collector on messaging servers"
