Quick Guide to move Desktop Manager to a Multi-User Architecture
1 / Create the future User database, using this following button from the "Install Files" view : see attachment 1
2 / Using the new local template DskMgrUser.ntf, create the User database on your servers : see attachment 2
3 / The new User database is now created. You will need to link Desktop Manager with the brand new User database :
Open Desktop Manager, go to the Architecture menu, then open the "Database Information" view, click on "Create Database", as attachment 3
4 / You need to create 2 documents; one to declare the User database, then a second one to declare the Desktop Manager (configuration) DB :
See attachment 4
5 / Verify the "Reference" document (second tab) then close Desktop Manager. Next time you open it, you will be in a Multi-User Database mode.
You might need to move your existing Audit Results Document to the User database, using the Clean up Agent : "Move User to User Databases"
See attachment 5
