Archive Portal is a software solution for accessing Notes database data, extracted as a read-only XML / HTML Web sites (via the NotesExtractor tool), offering the following functionalities to users:
- A Web Portal presenting data from archived Notes databases to which the user has access (complete transposition of Notes rights into the portal).
- A Security Module that filters data based on the user rights they had under Notes (ACL, Groups, Reader Fields).
- A Dynamic Views Module that presents users with only the documents they have access to. The rendering of the views is identical to those of the Notes client (Icon display / Categories / Parent - Child documents).
- Display documents into Forms identical to those in Notes.
- A multi-criteria Full Text Search Module in the data of web-based Notes databases.
- A Module for Exporting Notes documents on demand (PDF or EML).
- Transparent management of Intra and Inter-base Doc Links.
Below is an example of the Archive Portal web portal showing all the databases to which the user has access:
By clicking on one of the databases in the workspace, the database is displayed in full screen with a Web rendering close to its Notes rendering (Navigator on the left, View in the center, Full Text search module at the top):
Access to the database documents is done simply by clicking on a document in the view, which is then displayed in the central window. The document is displayed through a mask that remains very close to that used in the Notes client:
The document can be exported as a PDF or EML file (for emails) using the action button at the top right:
Archive Portal provides portal administrators with a dedicated multi-module interface for managing hosted databases:
- The Dashboard module presents key activity indicators for users and sites hosted by the Portal.
- The Server module allows you to modify server configuration and monitoring (access to the console and log files).
- The Site module is used to manage the databases hosted by the portal (additions and deletions) and to modify site properties (title, language, categories, etc.).
- The Statistics module presents detailed statistics on user access to sites (display of inactive sites and users).
- The Directory module is used to manage access to the portal and sites (ACL, Groups).
- The Account module is used to manage the portal's administrative data (activation key, subscription period, access to support and EULA, etc.).
