Once the Apache and Archive Portal (CTServer.exe) servers are started, you should test the connection to the solution to verify that the authentication is working correctly. To do this, we will connect to the Archive Portal using the administrator account that was provided during installation.
Use a recent internet browser (Chrome / Edge / Firefox) and enter the URL to access the Apache server in the address bar. The Portal login window should appear:
Please enter the administrator account login and password and press the Login button. If you have installed SSO / NTML authentication, this window will not appear and you will be automatically directed to the Archive Portal workspace
Once authentication is complete, the Archive Portal user interface is displayed:
For the moment the space is empty because no Notes database has been added to the portal. The first thing to check is to ensure that the identity used to connect (Active Directory login) is indeed linked to a Domino identity. To do this, simply click on the Identity icon at the top right of the screen:
The login name is displayed at the top of the window (here ctadmin) and the Domino identities are displayed below (FullName, Shortname, InternetAddress) as well as the Domino groups to which the person belongs. If the Notes Identities part is empty, it means that the login identity (here ctadmin) has not been linked to a Domino identity. You must check the contents of the Access.xml and Directory.xml files.
You can access the administration area of the Archive Portal by clicking on the icon located at the top right of the screen. If this icon is not visible, it is because you are connecting with an identity that is not declared as an administrator of the Archive Portal. From the administrator area, you can return to the user area by clicking on the icon
.
The administration screen is divided into 6 areas, accessible via the left browser icons:
- Dashboard : Archive Portal dashboard showing summary information.
- Server : Management of the Archive Portal CTServer.exe server (Startup, Configuration, Log, ...).
- Sites : Management of databases displayed in the Archive Portal (Publication, ACL, Properties, etc.).
- Activity : Notes databases access statistics.
- Directory : Managing Portal users (Access.xml) and Domino identities (Directory.xml).
- Account : Managing the CTServer.exe user license and activation key.
To accept the user license, you must access the Account area by clicking on the last icon of the left browser then click on the License Agreement tab then click on the Accept License button located on the right of the screen:
You can restart the Archive Portal server to see that the license has been accepted. Position yourself in the Server area and click on the Restart Server button:
The CTServer.exe executable will restart and the last console line will now appear green:
